3 Myths you must know about Alaksa
My mission today is to help you dive thousands of years deep into Alaska history and diverse culture and set you on the road towards this one of the most hidden jewel spots in the world. Therefore, it is time that these myths get BUSTED.
Myth #1: “Alaska is a popular spot for photographer or adventurous travelers”- BUSTED
It’s true that most people visit Alaska for the scenery and the wildlife-and make no mistake, they’ve got plenty of both! But once you travel to Alaska, you realize that there’s another reason to visit: the people of Alaska and their unique stories. From the Alaska indigenous people who have lived from generation to generation, to the Americans who came from all over the world.
Myth #2: “Alaska doesn’t offer enough diversities”- BUSTED
Let’s talk about the largest city, Anchorage in Alaska. With a population of a little more than a quarter million, the city boasts a surprising variety of excellent culinary options. Nearly 100 languages spoken in the Anchorage School District demonstrates plenty of ethnic diversity, which is reflected in a diverse cuisine from around the world.
Myth #3: “You can fully enjoy aurora viewing experience in the winter season”- BUSTED
There is a myth that northern lights only occur on the coldest winter days. While it is true that cold weather and auroras usually coincide, this is only because dropping temperatures accompany high pressure systems, which makes for cloudless skies. Clear skies are an obvious prerequisite for viewing success, and the months of January through March have the least cloud cover.
